I have another more general but probably rather stupid question (in before: there are no stupid questions). I'm always reading about a "badge", i.e. "your badge is your entry pass", "you'll receive your badge upon registration", "don't lose your batch or you're screwed"; what exactly is that badge and when do I get it? I assume you get some kind of high quality sticker with a bar code or something at the check-in, i.e. once actually entering the conference. Though, I wanted to ask nevertheless before making false assumptions and the bouncers ask me "Where's your badge, bro?".
