You need up to date SAPHoSTAGENT to get up to date saposcol.

But for central monitoring, old sapccm4x is not necessary any more.

as sapccm4x is integrated in to sapstartsrv which starts SAP instance.

But this is not SAPHOSTAGENT, it is so-called instance agent.
