Re: Crashing WEBI 4.1SP2FP3

Josh,
Maybe I read too much but I have read in several forums including BOB and SCN that the out of the box server configurations  are less than optimal. There are several writings that suggest that you should have the same number of webi processing servers as onboard cpu’s. I was just kind of flying by the seat of my pants trying to learn and have a better system. I have broken out several other core services as per recommendations so I dont have a single APS managing everything. As I mentioned our physical system is overkill for our application. Most of the time the CPU is at 99% idle with an occasional spike by a webi server. While usage is not high I do have several smaller reports (roughly 1000 rows of data retrieved) that are running every minute to populate several dashboards in a somewhat live mode. I have a total of 85 scheduled reports most of which fire twice daily between 6:00 & 7:00 AM/PM. As far as users, most of my users get information from instances with email destinations or from a local shared report cache that I have BI write to. There will be days at a time when I am the only user actually logged in! Hopefully that gives you some kind of feel for how the system is being used.

I will take your advice and create a single new webi server and disable the others and see what happens

Thanks
